Memories of the Forgotten, Within the Light

Soft tones flicker gently at the edges of the soundscape, like light reflecting off wet surfaces. Soon, a delicate rainfall settles into the foreground, steady and calming. The rain does not dominate. It breathes within the composition, becoming part of its pulse.

A warm drone bass slowly enters, deepening the atmosphere and drawing the listener inward. The space grows more intimate. Shimmering synth textures begin to glow softly above the foundation, their movement subtle and unforced. Each layer feels carefully placed, creating a balance between depth and air.

As the piece evolves, clearer melodic elements rise gradually from the ambient fabric. They do not interrupt the rain. Instead, they seem to grow from it. The harmony unfolds gently, guiding the listener further into stillness. There is no dramatic shift, only a deepening of calm.

Benjamin Tatlow’s project, Memories of the Forgotten, often carries a nostalgic and nature-inspired tone, while Simon Wester’s Within the Light explores atmosphere and field recording with organic sensitivity. In Droplets, their approaches blend seamlessly. The result feels unified, reflective, and quietly luminous.

Rain, resonance, and melody coexist without friction.

Linnunrata Productions is an independent Finnish music label and creative studio dedicated to organic ambient music, immersive nature soundscapes, and atmospheric sound design. Each project is crafted to support storytelling, atmosphere, and emotional immersion across visual and experiential media.

Linnunrata Productions is a WWF Partner in Conservation, reflecting a strong commitment to nature protection and sustainability. A significant portion of proceeds is donated to conservation efforts, aligning artistic work with long-term environmental responsibility.
