Lynn

Lynn seems to soften the atmosphere almost immediately.
The opening synth tones arrive with such gentleness that the response feels almost physical: the breath deepens, the body settles, and the surrounding world begins to feel a little quieter. A slow, delicate melody moves across layers of soft pads and drones, forming a dreamlike foundation that carries the listener without asking anything in return.
There is a beautiful sense of weightlessness in the arrangement. Subtle shimmering details appear within the texture, giving the music a luminous quality, while the sustained tones create the impression of floating somewhere high above the clouds. The movement is gradual and unhurried, allowing serenity to emerge naturally rather than forcing it.
For Frequent Cs, the visual world surrounding Lynn was closely connected to its creation. The artwork originated from a visit to a local botanical garden, a place whose beauty inspired the desire to create something equally peaceful and almost magical in sound. The title itself derives from the Welsh word llyn, meaning lake, further strengthening the connection between the music, landscape, and water.
That relationship with the natural world runs deeper than this single piece. Frequent Cs describes feeling most connected while simply being outside and noticing what is already there: flowers, streams, clouds, and the quiet beauty found in ordinary surroundings. Gratitude and observation become part of the creative process, and artwork often provides the first emotional impulse from which the music develops.
That intention can be felt throughout Lynn. The artist hopes that, when heard alone and without distraction, the piece might offer serenity, peace, and calm, perhaps even a small sense of solace. Its restraint makes that possible. Rather than directing the listener toward a particular emotion, the music creates a gentle space in which those feelings can arise on their own.
Lynn feels like a meeting point between landscape and inner stillness: softly shimmering, deeply peaceful, and touched by a quiet sense of wonder.
A truly beautiful piece that leaves the listener feeling lighter, calmer, and gently held.
