Written for a quiet space, Sub Tecto Caeli unfolds slowly through sustained drones and subtle harmonic movement. The piece places emphasis on space, resonance, and listening rather than direction or resolution, allowing sound and silence to exist side by side.

Rather than seeking attention, the music invites stillness. It is shaped as much by absence as by tone, a work that settles gently, offering the listener a place to pause, breathe, and remain present.

The title Sub Tecto Caeli, Latin for “beneath the vault of the sky,” reflects the piece’s spatial and contemplative nature. It suggests an openness where sound is not performed but allowed to emerge, attentive to time and environment.

Sub Tecto Caeli continues RA-UL’s ongoing exploration of organic ambient music rooted in restraint, atmosphere, and deep listening.

Linnunrata Productions is an independent Finnish music label and creative studio dedicated to organic ambient music, immersive nature soundscapes, and atmospheric sound design.
