Privacy Policy

Overview

Humina is a soundscape application published by Linnunrata Productions. Humina does not require you to create an account and does not contain advertising. We do not sell personal data or use personal data for targeted advertising.

Humina stores your sound preferences and saved spaces locally on your device. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play and managed in the app through RevenueCat.

2. Information we handle

Local app data

Humina stores settings such as language, theme, selected atmosphere, music and nature-sound levels, timer preferences and saved spaces locally on your device. This information is used to provide app functionality and is not intentionally transmitted to Linnunrata Productions.

Subscription and purchase information

If you view, purchase, restore or manage a subscription, Apple App Store or Google Play processes the transaction. RevenueCat may process a pseudonymous app user identifier, product and entitlement information, purchase status, transaction or receipt information, app version, platform and limited device or diagnostic information needed to provide subscription access and prevent fraud. Linnunrata Productions does not receive your full payment-card details.

Support communications

If you contact us, we process the email address you use, your message and any information or attachments you choose to provide. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is necessary to resolve your request.

Technical information

Apple, Google and RevenueCat may process technical logs and diagnostics according to their own services and privacy terms. Humina does not include a separate advertising SDK or behavioural advertising tracker.

3. Why information is used

• To provide audio playback, preferences, saved spaces and other requested app functions.
• To display available subscriptions, verify purchases, restore access and manage Plus or Pro entitlements.
• To respond to support requests and troubleshoot problems.
• To protect the app, users and subscription systems from errors, misuse and fraud.
• To comply with legal, accounting and platform obligations.

Where the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation applies, processing is based on performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing Humina, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where consent is required.

4. Service providers and recipients

• Apple App Store / Apple StoreKit: iOS and iPadOS purchases, subscriptions, billing and restoration.
• Google Play / Google Play Billing: Android purchases, subscriptions, billing and restoration.
• RevenueCat: subscription status, entitlements and purchase infrastructure across platforms.
• Email and hosting providers: only when needed to receive support messages or operate this website.

These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies. Information may be processed outside Finland or the EU/EEA using safeguards required by applicable law.

5. Retention and deletion

Local app data remains on your device until you reset the relevant settings, clear the app’s storage or uninstall the app. Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple, Google and RevenueCat according to their legal and operational requirements. Support messages are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to answer the request, maintain appropriate records and meet legal obligations.

6. Security

We use reasonable organisational and technical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

7. Children

Humina is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not require an account. If you believe a child has sent personal information through a support request, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of personal data, to object to certain processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because most Humina settings remain only on your device, Linnunrata Productions may not possess data that identifies those settings as yours.

For store purchase records, use Apple’s or Google’s privacy and account tools. For a RevenueCat-related request, contact us and provide enough information for us to locate the relevant pseudonymous customer record, if available.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when Humina, its service providers or applicable requirements change. The current version and effective date will be published on this page.
